I've improved my modpacking & material editing skills since I first made my original Gargoyle Horns mod, and since it was so popular, I decided to rework it a bit. Changes include:
-Reworked Raen & Xaela colors to be on the skin material, so now they actually tint with skin color like regular Auri horns & scales do. No more needing to adjust the colorset for warmer or cooler skintones. If you prefer them, though, the original Raen and Xaela colors are still included.
-Consolidated the two M and F model modpacks into one singular modpack
-Cut down on filesize by repathing any completely vanilla mob textures to the ones already in the game files
Everything else is the same. I plan on eventually reworking my other horns mods in this manner in the future, but bear with me if it takes a while.
This mod ports the horns from the Gargoyle mob to the Ultima Horns item.
-Works on male and female Au Ra, with all faces. Good chance of working with sculpts as well, so long as the size of the head is not too drastically altered and the Horn attribute is placed properly.
-Automatically hides vanilla horns— no need for any extra horn removal mods.
-Placed to allow just about all earrings to attach properly.
-Comes in 8 color variants: the original Raen & Xaela from the first version, reworked Raen & Xaela which is edited to work properly with the skin shader, Gargoyle, Red, Rusty, and Soot Black.
-May clip with some hairstyles due to the horns' size.
-Please feel free to port to other races, attach to faces, add new colors, or make positioning adjustments. If you post such edits, please credit me in the description.
