Zenos' face on Elezen 101

ports Zenos' face and hair onto an Elezen model

the first thing I did when I logged in for Dawntrail was check if his textures were updated. upon seeing they weren't, I went into a fugue state and came out with all this:

  • his face, transplanted onto one of the updated Elezen heads + neck.
  • switched out his mouth for one of the new ones
  • all the new bones!
  • his textures have been updated to the new Dawntrail format
  • stole the midlander ears to replace his old crunchy ears
  • ported his eyes to the new eyes
  • his hair is included as an optional install w/ the dawntrail upscaled textures. replaces hair 162 (great lengths) - hat compatible + weighted with hair 162's bones.
  • eyebrows dye with the "tattoo"/"facial feature" setting in glamourer

known issues:

  • he has a bit of a neck seam, sadly. I've minimized it as much as possible, but seeing as the neck seam is still there for vanilla elezen, not much else to be done.
  • dawntrail made it so that a lot of heads will have shared materials, so this does break Wildwood f1 + affects iris textures for all elezen. I'm not sure if there's a way to mitigate that rn (if there is, lmk) so I do recommend using this with Penumbra collections to keep it from messing up your other textures. (if you haven't worked with collections, this is a good resource)

notes:

  • the eyes work best when their color is set to white. I tried making the color static, but for some reason it behaved entirely differently
  • the hair is specifically fitted to this head, idk how/if it fits others and won't be porting it since that already exists.
  • vanilla doesn't carry his hair dye, though some colors approximate it well enough. if you're also a perfectionist, though, glamourer's advanced customizations are your bootleg prince's best friend. set the hair color to #D3AE79 for a perfect match

enjoy, and let me know if there's any issues!
