dolores II, a KOFXV port.
(dolores I is the updo i ported from TS4, which i'm also hoping to overhaul.)
looking for M-based races? find them here.
this would not have been possible without khanter.kz's guide on hair skeleton/physics porting, so please give him your thanks. (also. clawing out of my proverbial coffin to say i still hate vfxeditor. getting better with this thing is going to be like pulling teeth all over again. as for why this took so long and this update is rather precariously timed, i found the guide just last night and then proceeded to speedrun doing these. so. 👍)
this hair has some limitations due to my own lack of knowledge. those are:
- big apologies to the miqos, but this hair is earless only.
- this overhaul does not include acedia's f!viera port; i redid it myself as i could not get in contact with them in time for this upload. if my port does not work well for you, try theirs here.
- depending on what idles your character is doing, or if their body type strays from vanilla, this hair will clip rather unnaturally. the original was like this, and the ports over have the same issue. this is why C+ is a requirement for this hair, as C+ makes this much easier to navigate and fix for your specific character so it looks natural for them.
- this is especially true for lalafell, whose weights do not fully match the rest of the hairs. the front right braid does not utilize the third side hair bone, and their bone placement will look off compared to the rest (though they are still completely serviceable in C+ as well, i made sure of this). if someone would like to help me fix the issues with lalafell, i'd be very grateful.
- this hair uses a half times two's skeleton, which does not have proper naming in c+ yet. you will find these bones in the unknown category. i know it's not the most convenient, and i apologize.
the materials acc_a and acc_c can be used to colorset the gold rings and the crystals, respectively. i think that's everything, but if there's a bug please reach out to me on the forums. thank you!
